Spy Matrix Spy Phone: The Ultimate Spy Cell Phone
Saturday 30 June 2007 @ 8:46 pm

Perhaps the most advanced portable bug on the market today is
the Spy Matrix Spy Phone. This spy cell phone looks just like a
regular phone, and it works just like a regular cell phone. The
only difference is that is also a bug. This is the ultimate in
listening devices. It is the best way to keep track of teenagers
or significant others who show signs of straying. And, with a
little ingenuity, you can even use this spy cell phone to
perform surveillance on acquaintances and strangers.

The spy cell phone is especially helpful when you want to keep
track of family members. This is because you can pass it off as
a new phone for the family’s new cell phone plan. It is perfect.
Give it to teenagers and you can go wherever they go. This Spy
Matrix Spy Phone is equipped with a GPS tracker and a special
microphone that picks up noises and conversation in its general
vicinity. Not only that, but can also allow you to listen in to
both ends of the conversation. You can know whether you teen are
where she or he is supposed to be, and you can find out, from
listening to what is going on in the room, whether there really
is a study group.

A secret phone number allow you to activate the spy cell phone
without the subject knowing that you have done so. You call the
secret number (there is a second real number for regular calling
purposes) and the phone quietly turns on and begins giving you
access. You can “forget” it in a room or leave it to “charge”
and hear what others are saying. This is a device that is also
useful when performing professional surveillance for clients. No
matter what you want to use the phone for, the spy cell phone is
a device that few people would suspect as being a bug –
especially since it works just like a normal cell phone in all
respects.

Stop wondering what is really going on and find out for sure.
When you have the Spy Matrix Spy Phone you do not just have any
phone. You have a real, top of the line spy cell phone.

8 Essential Skills for Managing ADD
Saturday 30 June 2007 @ 7:12 pm

So many adults with ADD find themselves chronically overwhelmed with every day life. This means that they generally wake up feeling like they are running behind on all the things they need to do, spend the whole day on high speed in order to get all those things done, and yet still go to bed most nights feeling like they never got anywhere. Or, they spend the whole day in a fog, constantly aware of all the things on that to-do list, but never mustering up the motivation to tackle the tasks. This leaves them feeling unorganized, unproductive, unhappy, lazy, guilty, and…the list goes on.

I used to be one of those people. Constantly overwhelmed and always disorganized. Through dedication, hard work, and lots of time and practice, I’ve gotten to a place in my life where I know how to manage my ADD. (The key word here is “manage.”) Through both my personal and professional work, I’ve isolated what I believe are 8 Essential Skills for Managing ADD. Today I’d like to share them with you:

1. Slow Down

ADDers seem to always be operating on over-drive…mentally, physically, or both. In my opinion, slowing down when you feel speedy, stressed, overwhelmed, etc. is the first and most necessary skill for managing ADD.

2. Practice Excellent Self-Care

ADDers are prone to putting themselves last. Why is this? How will you ever “get it together” if you don’t dedicate time and energy to yourself?

3. Know Your Own ADD

ADD affects us all in different ways. You can’t effectively manage ADD without being aware of the specific ways in which it affects you, and the specific ways in which your challenges are triggered.

4. Actively Use Your Learning and Processing Modalities

Identifying the natural modalities in which you are able to sustain focus and process information and feelings will make your personal and professional lives much easier.

5. Focus on Your Strengths

Everyone has strengths, skills, talents, and passions. Increasing the time you spend on these good things will increase both your self-esteem and your happiness.

6. Think Positively

Patterns of negative thinking can be reversed. Negative thinking will hold you back. Positive thinking will propel you forward.

7. Plan the Time to Plan…Everything

Planning doesn’t always come easily to ADDers. Developing tools and systems for planning will streamline organization and time management, but you have to take it one step further and plan the time to use them.

8. Take Risks

This doesn’t refer to speed racing or skydiving! It refers to stepping outside your comfort zone and doing things that may be uncomfortable, like asking for that raise, taking up that new hobby, or pursuing that life-long passion. If you don’t take the risk, you won’t get the reward.

Jennifer Koretsky is a Professional ADD Management Coach who helps adults manage their ADD and move forward in life. She encourages clients to increase self-awareness, focus on strengths and talents, and create realistic action plans. She offers a 90-day intensive skill-building program, workshops, and private coaching. Her work has been featured in numerous media, including The New York Times Magazine and The Times (UK). Yellowstone Tours
Saturday 30 June 2007 @ 6:31 am

The tourist season at Yellowstone National Park is divided into Winter and Summer. Since the weather can be extreme in both the seasons activities and tours are season-specific. Therefore a visit to the park and subsequent tours should be planned according to what your favorite kind of activity is like.

Among the tours offered at Yellowstone are traditional ones like coach tours for wildlife viewing and more unusual ones like horseback tours as well tours on llamas. The latter activity has also coined a new term called llamaneering. Since these animals have long been used as pack animals, they are sturdy and tough yet very manageable. These tours also include layover days which allow the hikers to enjoy fishing and climbing peaks. The horseback tours and the llama tours are spread over a number of days and each day ends with setting up camp at regular sites. Those who enjoy mountain biking can also undertake the mountain bike tour of the park which is organized during the summer season.

Another popular way to experience and see Yellowstone is through its myriad waterways. There are special Kayak tours as well as rented and guided boat tours available for those who wish to see the land from the water.

For those with a passion for photography, you can take a photography tour of a place that is so spectacular in its scenery that it is almost impossible to take a bad picture. Regular photography tours of Yellowstone are undertaken where an expert photographer acts as a guide and helps in mastering the technique of wildlife and nature photography.

During winter, snowshoeing and snowcoach tours are organized. These tours allow the visitor to see the face of Yellowstone in the winter and experience true harmony with nature. Since most of Yellowstone is backcountry, it lends itself to cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. In winter months the paved roads of the park are not cleared of snow, therefore snowcoaches are the only motorized access possible into the park.

These tours truly allow a visitor to Yellowstone to experience nature at its greatest.

10 top tips for writing a super responsive ezine.
Saturday 30 June 2007 @ 2:37 am

One of the most often asked questions that I see is ‘how can I
write an ezine that people will want to read.’ Anyone can tell
you that there is ‘money in the list’ but how do you create a
list of readers who are happy to send money in your direction?
After all, if they don’t want to read your newsletter, (I tend
to use the words newsletter and ezine interchangeably) your
‘list’ is pretty worthless!

Over 650 issues of my ezine, Kickstart Today -
http://www.kickstartdaily.com - have taught me a few things
about what people really want from a newsletter.

Here are the ten top tips that I’ve learned the hard way:

1. Keep it short and sweet. Your ezine itself can be quite long,
provided that each article is kept fast-paced and punchy. In my
experience, any section that runs more than 500 words is
probably too long. And 1500 words overall is enough. Many
successful newsletters are around 500 words total.

2. Be as personal as you like. If people want serious business
writing they can go to the news-stand. It seems to me that
people love the personal aspect that ezines offer. Hence, the
more I introduce elements from my own life and family into my
newsletter, the bigger my positive (virtual) mailbag is.

3. Never sell. I write my newsletter three times a week and on
average, about a third of my issues don’t try to sell anything.
As often as possible, I provide links to things that my readers
can have for free. In the other two-thirds of issues, I almost
never sell either - I make recommendations. My readers know that
I will never recommend something that I haven’t used myself -
and have found to be excellent. So, in effect, my selling is a
personal recommendation from one friend to another.

4. And on that note, only ’sell’ (or recommend) one item in any
issue. I have proved time and again with my own lists that
whenever I mention two or more products for my readers to buy,
overall sales goes right down. I know of several
super-successful people who do manage to make multiple
recommendations successfully, but it has never worked for me.

5. Never write to your list. You may have thousands of people on
your list, but as soon as you start to write to ‘the list’ the
tone of your words becomes impersonal. Always write to one
person, who you imagine is sitting in front of you. If you learn
to write as you would speak to that one person in front of you,
your newsletter will almost automatically be a thousand times
more readable than most others out there.

6. Be brave. So many ezine writers fall into the trap of
avoiding controversy. The result is that their newsletters fast
become boring. The truth is that people love to read a good
rant. If you allow yourself to let yourself go once in a while -
even if it is completely off topic, I guarantee that your list
will become more responsive - and consequently more loyal.

7. Be responsive yourself. If one of your readers writes to you,
make sure you write back - personally. People do business with
people and they really like to know that you are a real person
behind the keyboard.

8. Using other people’s articles. This is a sticky one. Use
other people’s stuff too often and your own personality will not
shine through. And if your readers see the same articles
appearing elsewhere, they start to think that they might as well
read them elsewhere. Personally, I don’t run other people’s
stuff in my newsletter at all - but that is my choice, and as a
fairly prolific writer, something that I can deal with. I would
say that if you must use other people’s articles, keep them to a
fairly low percentage of each issue’s total content.

9. Be prepared for the long haul. Successful newsletters are
rarely born overnight. They take a long time to build their
readership and even longer to regularly turn a good profit. Like
any business you have to work at them - sometimes when you least
want to. Get it right though, and they are worth it on so many
levels.

10. Finally, find your own USP. Every product (and your ezine is
a product that people have to ‘buy in to’ even if they don’t pay
for it) needs to have certain attributes that set it apart from
all the others out there. Your USP (unique selling point) is the
thing that people will talk about when they recommend you to
their friends - so make it easy for them to notice and
compelling enough for them to want to pass on the good news!

Of course, the fact that this article is available for ezine
publishers to use does raise a conundrum. If my advice to avoid
using other people’s articles in your newsletters is valid, will
anyone use this article? Or any other that is made freely
available in article directories?

My suggested solution is two-fold:

a. Believe everything I say, and follow all of my rules except
when applying them to articles that I have written. Clearly,
those will be of far more interest to your readers than anything
else. ;-)

b. Seriously, rather than blindly publishing other people’s
articles in your ezine, it is usually a better bet to put those
articles onto your website and link to that page from your
ezine. That way your readers can accept the ‘gift’ of an
interesting article to read if they are interested, or ignore it
if they so choose.

Also, you can put AdSense, or other ads onto the article page to
monetize the article to those people who have shown a marked
interest in the subject matter by clicking the link.

Ezine writing and publishing is a learned skill. The first few
editions you produce will probably be rather rough around the
edges, but keep practicing and listen to what your readers email
to you. In a short time you will find your own voice and a style
that will help you build a large and loyal following.

And then, the advice that the money is in the list will come
true for you.

The 17 Essential Qualities of a Team Player - A Book Summary
Saturday 30 June 2007 @ 2:07 am

A follow-up companion reader to The 17 Indisputable Laws of
Teamwork, here is a clear character profile of the ideal Team
Player. Maxwell stresses some main qualities of a good team
player: intentional, or she is focused on the big picture,
relational, focused on others, selfless, willing to take a
backseat for the good of the team, and tenacious - works hard to
overcome obstacles, no matter what.

1. Adaptable: If you won’t change for the team, the team may
change youTeam players who are most likely to become adaptable
possess the following characteristics: a) they are highly
teachable; b) they are emotionally secure; c) they are creative;
and, d) they are service-minded individuals.

To achieve such characteristic, the following are recommended:
a) get into the habit of learning; b) reevaluate your role on
the team; and, c)think outside the lines.

2. Collaborative: Working together precedes winning together
Collaboration is the key word when it comes to meeting
challenges as a team. Cooperation is merely working together
agreeably, but collaborating means working together more
aggressively. Every team player must bring something more to the
table, and not just put in his minimum required work.

A collaborative team player needs to change in four key areas:
a) Perception; b) Attitude; c) Focus; and, d) Results

3. Committed: There are no halfhearted champions Commitment
usually is discovered in the midst of adversity. Committed
people don’t surrender easily. It does not depend on gifts or
abilities. Rather, it is the result of choice. Commitment lasts
when it’s based on values. If it’s something you believe in,
it’s easier to keep.

To improve the level of commitment, one must:

- Tie commitments to values. - Take a risk. - Evaluate
teammates’ commitment.

4. Communicative: A team is many voices with a single
heartCommunicative team players do not isolate themselves from
others; make it easy for teammates to communicate with them;
follow the twenty-four hour rule; give attention to potentially
difficult relationships; and, follow up important communication
in writing. To improve communication one is expected to: a) be
candid; b) be quick; and, c) be inclusive.

5. Competent: If you can’t, your team won’t Competent does not
mean simply having adequate skills to perform a job. It means
the individual must be highly qualified to do the job well. To
improve the level of competence, one must: a) focus yourself
professionally; b) sweat the small stuff; c) give more attention
to implementation.

6. Dependable: Teams go to Go-To players

The essence of dependability:

- Pure motives. If there are no hidden agendas the team will
make progress. - The ability to take on responsibility. The team
player must want the ball and be able to sink it in the basket
and score. - Sound thinking and good judgment, when it counts. -
Consistent contribution, no matter how tired, overwhelmed or
distracted, you must be able to deliver.

To improve dependability one must: a) check your motives; b)
discover what your word is worth.; and, c) find someone to hold
you accountable.

7. Disciplined: Where there’s a will, there’s a win Discipline
is doing what you really don’t want to do, so that you can do
what you really want to do. It means paying the price so you can
have the reward later. To become the kind of players teams want,
people must develop discipline in three areas.

- Disciplined thinking. Keep your mind active, and always think
about the right things. - Disciplined emotions. Either you
master your emotions, or be mastered by them. - Disciplined
actions. Action separates the winners from the losers. When
people act on what they must do, it is for the benefit of all
those on the team.

8. Enlarging Adding value to teammates is invaluable

Team members love a player who is able to inspire them to become
more successful. Team players who enlarge their teammates share
common characteristics:

- Enlargers value their teammates. - Enlargers value what their
teammates value. - Enlargers add value to their teammates. -
Enlargers make themselves more valuable.

How do we become Enlargers?

- Believe in others before they believe in you. - Serve others
before they serve you. - Add value to others before they add
value to you.

Point out your teammates’ strengths, encourage and motivate them
out of their comfort zone, but within their gift zone.

9. Enthusiastic: Your heart is the source of energy for the team
People who bring an enthusiastic attitude to teamwork often.

- Take responsibility for their own enthusiasm. - Act their way
into feeling. The only way to begin is simply to begin! -
Believe in what they are doing. - Spend time with enthusiastic
people. Enthusiasm is contagious.

To improve enthusiasm, one must: - Show a sense of urgency. - Be
willing to do more. - Strive for excellence.

10. Intentional: Make every action count Being intentional means
working with a strong sense of purpose. Successful individuals
are never scattered and haphazard. They have a clear reason why
they are doing what they are doing. For a team to be successful,
it needs intentional people who are focused and productive, the
kind of people who can make every action count.

11. Mission conscious: The Big Picture is coming in loud and
clear. The four qualities of mission-conscious team players are
the ff:

- They know where the team is going. - They let the leader of
the team lead. - They place team accomplishment ahead of their
own. - They do whatever is necessary to achieve the mission.

To improve mission consciousness you must: - Check to see if
your team focuses on its mission. - Find ways to keep the
mission in mind. - Contribute your best as a team member.

12. Prepared: Preparation can mean the difference between
winning and losing To be a more prepared team, think about the
following: a) assessment; b) alignment; c) attitude; and, d)
action.

To improve preparedness you must: a) become a process thinker;
b) do more research; and, c) learn from your mistakes.

13. elational: If you get along, others will go along Teams want
people who are relational. Look for the following in your team
relationships: a) respect; b) Shared experiences; c) Trust; d)
Reciprocity; and, e) mutual enjoyment.

To better relate to your teammates you must: a) focus on others
instead of yourself; b) ask the right questions; c) share common
experiences; and, d) make others feel special.

14. Self-improving: To improve the team, improve yourself People
who are constantly improving themselves make three processes an
ongoing cycle in their lives: Preparation, Contemplation, and
Application.

To become self-improving you must: a) become highly teachable;
b) plan your progress; c) value self-improvement above
self-promotion.

15. Selfless: There is no “I” in team As a team member, how do
you cultivate an attitude of selflessness?

- Be generous. - Avoid internal politics. - Display loyalty. -
Value interdependence over independence.

To become more selfless.

- Promote someone other than yourself. - Take a subordinate
role. - Give secretly, without the other team members knowing.

16. Solution-oriented: Make a resolution to find the solution
Your personality type, upbringing and personal history affect
how solution-oriented you are naturally. Anyone can become
solution-oriented. Solution oriented people recognize these
truths: - Problems are a matter of perspective. - All problems
are solvable. - Problems either stop us or stretch us.

To make yourself a solution-oriented team player, you must: a)
refuse to give up; b) refocus your thinking; c) rethink your
strategy; and, d) repeat the process.

17. Tenacious: Never, never, never quit Being tenacious means
giving all that you’ve got, 100% not more than you have. It has
something to do with working with determination, not waiting on
destiny. Tenacious people do not rely on luck, fate, or destiny
for their success. When conditions become difficult, they keep
working. Quitting when the job is done, not when you’re tired.
Push yourself beyond what you think you are capable of.

To improve your tenacity, you must: a) work harder or smarter;
b) stand for something c) make your work a game.

Key thoughts:

“Be more concerned with your character than your reputation,
because characte is what you really are, while your reputation
is merely what others think you are.” -John Wooden, college
basketball coach

“Although they only give gold medals in the field of athletics,
I encourage everyone to look into themselves and find their own
personal dream, whatever that may be - sports, medicine, law,
business, music, writing, whatever. The same principles apply.
Turn your dream into a goal and learn how to attack that goal
systematically. Break it into bite-size chunks that seem
possible, and then don’t give up. Just keep plugging away.” -
John Naber, swimmer, four-time Olympic Gold Medalist

Treadmill Reviews – Helping You Find The Best Treadmill For YOU!
Saturday 30 June 2007 @ 1:06 am

With a multitude of different treadmills available today, it can be extremely difficult to know which one might be the best one for you – it can be so overwhelming that you simply don’t know where to start! If you go to one of the wide variety of treadmill manufacturer’s websites, you will be greeted by a whole array of different models that include a variety of features and characteristics that simply boggle the mind, and inevitably enough, each manufacturer is going to say that theirs is better than all the rest. What you need to help you navigate your way through the overabundance of information is a helpful and unbiased informer, and thankfully, help is not too far away. Treadmill reviews. Treadmill reviews are here to help you make the right choice for you.

Whether you are a novice or a seasoned treadmill user, it is difficult to see beyond the blurb put out by fitness equipment manufacturers. It is, after all, their job to sell their equipment to you, so they are going to put their best foot forward! Treadmill reviews can help you see beyond the advertising copy. Treadmill ratings are a mixture of the expert opinion of fitness professionals and of ordinary exercisers just like you, and these combine to help you evaluate a treadmill both in terms of the quality of it’s components and how well it actually fits into the average exerciser’s fitness regime.

Choosing a Treadmill – Where to Start?

The right treadmill is a highly individual choice, so before you consider any purchase it is wise to consider what your own personal expectations are, something that unfortunately cannot be found in treadmill ratings! Think about your own fitness goals, and how you intend to reach them – these will have an impact on which treadmill will be most suitable for you. So before you consider searching out the ratings on treadmill, make a list of things that are priorities for you. This will help narrow down your search, and help you use the home treadmill reviews that you come across in a more meaningful way.

There are two distinct types of treadmill reviews available – the evaluations of professionals, and treadmill consumer ratings, which are put together based on the information given by ordinary exercisers just like you. Both of these types of ratings are useful.

Professional reviews, such as those that might comprise magazine ratings of treadmills, are carried out by people in the fitness industry, who have expert knowledge on many aspects of treadmill construction and performance. They will have a good understanding of what it is that makes a treadmill safe and effective, and will undertake investigations on aspects of treadmill construction and longevity that is neither possible nor practical for the layperson to undertake. They will put together ratings on treadmills that will evaluate the component parts and the way in which they are assembled, and will have the background knowledge that will enable them to make comparisons with other treadmills that are available. With a broad understanding of treadmill development and technology, professional treadmill reviewers can evaluate a particular treadmill in an unbiased way, and provide you with a clear picture of how it measures up to the other models that are currently available.

On the other hand, treadmill consumer ratings are comprised of the practical opinion of the non-professional exercisers who have purchased a piece of fitness equipment for their own personal use – these are perhaps the people best qualified to provide reliable home treadmill reviews. Consumer ratings will provide you with more practically based information than is presented in professional treadmill reviews, and will give you a real impression of what a treadmill is actually like to use. Non-professional ratings will typically cover things such as how easy the treadmill is to put together and to operate, how quiet the motor is, and how much space the treadmill takes up when open or folded. While consumers will usually provide little information on the quality of construction of a treadmill, they will be able to provide first hand experience in reliability, comfort and ease of use, and will also usually be able to provide information on customer services.

There are a wide variety of both types of review available in sporting magazines and on the internet, so before you purchase a treadmill, be sure to check out some of these reviews. In combination, professional and consumer reviews will give you all you need to make an informed decision, and find the treadmill that is best for you.

When To Stop Mailing To Your Prospects
Friday 29 June 2007 @ 11:56 pm

David Dutton, a subscriber of mine from Nashville,
Tennessee, wrote in and asked me to “touch on prospecting
with direct mail”

As you probably know, I love direct mail for loads of
reasons, but mostly I love it because you can use it to say
anything you want or tell any kind of story you want.

There’s no limit to the number of pages or words you have to
use, and frankly, it’s also a very intimate form of
communicating with your prospects and clients.

After all, when your prospect is reading your message, it’s
just you and them, one-on-one.

How efficient!

Anyway, here’s a little story about my younger son Casey.
Pay close attention to it, and see if you can guess the
“moral” of the story here.

When Casey was younger, I always used to say, he’d be
“the perfect salesman”.

Whenever he asked for something, if the answer was “No”,
he’d ask you the exact same question in a different way.

He’d figure out some way to come at you from behind… or
around the sides… or down from up above.

To put this in “selling” perspective, when Casey asked for
the order, in his mind, “No” didn’t mean he couldn’t get it,
it just meant he had to ask for it again… a little
differently.

And see, one of the most critical mistakes people make is
that they don’t do second and third (or more) mailings.

You should keep mailing offers, until your mailings aren’t
profitable.

For the most part, from a numbers standpoint, you should get
whatever response you got on your first mailing, on your
second and third mailings combined.

So if you’re selling a high-ticket item, or if the lifetime
value of your client is high, you can see how, in some
cases, you can certainly afford to do a dozen or more
mailings, right?

Thanks for your question David.

Oh, by-the-way — now 13, Casey STILL doesn’t understand
what “No” means.

Now go sell something,

Love Poems Anthology Part 2

Three Little Important Words

Three little, important words, are all I have to say,
Three little , important words, mean more to me each day.
Three little, important words, have lasted all my life,
Three little, important words, just for my darling wife.
Three little, important words, simple but so true,
Three little, important words, simply I LOVE YOU !

Love While Apart

How I long, to be with you,

And how my heart does bleed.

My love for you, burns deep within,

An all-consuming need.

My love for you, is still as strong,

As the day when we first met.

And, as we, go through life, together,

The stronger it will get.

Being away from you, tears me apart,

I can hardly bear the strain.

I’m just longing for that day to come,

When you’re in my arms again.

The days drag past, so slowly,

It seems so long to go.

Until I’m with you, once more, my love,

I really miss you so.

I know sometimes, I’m not much fun,

When I’m there with you,

But, just know this, my darling,

My love for you is true.

Simply Love

I can feel small electric pulses,

Running up and down my spine.

Like myriads of icy fingers,

Each time your lips touch mine.

I could fall into your dark brown eyes,

And swim in their sparkling tears.

I just want to take you in my arms,

And chase away your fears.

I can’t describe the love between us,

Simple words aren’t enough to say.

I just know my love for you,

Grows stronger every day.

My passion is like a locomotive,

Thundering down the track.

Since that day that I first saw you,

There has been no turning back.

You’ve brought joy into my world, sunshine to my life,

Since that fateful day, when you became my wife.

I really have been blessed, by someone up above,

The thing I have for you, my darling, it is simply love.

Through the years, it’s just grown stronger,

This love I share with you.

What more can I say, my darling

Than, simply, I love you

Digital Music: The best tool for meditation
Friday 29 June 2007 @ 9:33 pm

Whenever we talk about the meditation we imagine that meditation
needs the environment where no sounds and voices are present.
Meditation is a spiritual practice which is performed in order
to feel the inner soul. Meditation helps a person to feel the
existence of the universal spirit. Music plays an important role
in the practice of meditation. The Digital music has
various vibrational sounds which help in the process of
meditation. Generally digital music for meditation is light
classic, but it can differ from person to person. Whenever we
listen to the digital music for meditation we can feel the
tones, dynamics and rhythms of the music, which takes the mind
away from redundant or negative thinking. Digital music breaks
our cycle of thought enough to allow my natural energy to flow
freely again; thus making us more energetic. Even listening to
one piece of uplifting digital music can regulate our breathing,
when it is ragged from feeling agitated.

Thus Digital Music has a great utility in the process of
meditation.

Free Search Engine Submission

Free Search Engine Submission

It is straight forward and simple to submit a web site for
free
to the search engines and a task that can be done in a
few minutes. However, there are plenty of companies offering
search engine submission services, these services
re-submit your web site to the search engines periodically for a
given time period. It amazes me that these services exist and
amazes me more why people pay for them.

Google states on its web site that re-submitting
your web site to the search engine does not make a
difference to a sites ranking or to how quickly the site appears
in the rankings and from experience this is also true in Yahoo!
and MSN.

Why submit your site to the search engines?

Submitting your web site to the search engine will make your web
site visible to its robot. A search engine robot is a web spider
that runs across the internet, indexing web pages one at a time,
following links it finds on other web pages. The submission of
your web site to the search engine will inform these robots to
index your site. How quickly the robot indexes your web site
depends on the search engine, so no guarantees can be made.

Once your web site has been indexed the search engine may rank
your site relevant for certain keywords it has picked up on,
although these are not taken from your keywords meta data.
Again, this is not a guarantee and can take months (especially
if it is Google) before your site is visible to search engine
users.

How do you know when your web site has been indexed?

The first indication of this can be seen in your web analysis
tool, usually under the section marked robots/spider visits. If
you do not have such a tool, id recommend installing AW Stats which is free and
will accomplish most peoples needs, or you can search through
your web sites log files for the IP addresses of the search
engine spiders. The main IP addresses to look out for are:

Google - will be seen as Googlebot Yahoo - will be seen as
Inktomi Slurp MSN - will be seen as MSNBot

For a more detailed list take a look at the
web robots pages. Once you have identified the robot visit
to your web site, it is time to see if your web site has been
indexed. To do this you will need to go to the search engine and
type in the following command:

site:www.yoursite.com

Replace www.yoursite.com for the web address of your web site.

If the search engine returns your web site then it means you
have been successfully added to its index and can be found by
search engine users. However, if your web site does not appear
be patient it may take a while.

How to improve the chances of being indexed?

It is possible although not guaranteed to speed up the
inclusion of your web site to the search engines by having their
spiders find your web site before actually submitting your web
site to the engine. This can be done by having a web site that
has already been indexed link back to your web site.

This can be done in several ways, some are examples are to have
your web site address as part of your signature in a forum, or
by having your web design company give you a link as part of
their portfolio.

In my experience this has helped considerably, and is always
favorable to submitting a web site manually to the search
engines
. Although, there is nothing wrong with manually
submitting your web site!

Is using a submission service bad for my web site?

This does depend on how the company submits your web site to
the search engine. Search engines have become good at
distinguishing between manual submissions and bulk automated
submissions usually made from these types of services (sometimes
having different URL’s available), normally when a search engine
detects a bulk web site submission it will usually process them
slower than manual submissions.

What search engines should I submit to?

Be extremely wary of web sites that say they can submit your
web site to 100’s if not 1000’s of search engines. The majority
of these search engines will not provide you with any traffic
and the web site will likely sell on your email address.

You should submit your web site to the following search engines:

Google >

Yahoo

MSN

Submitting your web site to these three search engines does not
restrict your sites visibility as can be seen by this web site
detailing whom powers who where submitting to these 3 actually
submits your web site to many more.

Are there any other web sites my site should be submitted
to?

In terms of providing your web site with the best possible
start in life you should be trying to submit your web site to
the following sites:

Yahoo!
directory

Open directory project

Conclusion

Search engine submission is about making your web site
visible to the search engine robots. This can be done by
manually submitting them to the search engine via their own add
site URL or from their robot finding you from another link.
Search engine submission services that re-submit your web site
are in the end a waste of money.
